2023 NSF AISL Awardee Meeting: Meeting Venue and Travel
This page provides information about where to stay and how to travel to the 2023 AISL Awardee Meeting. Your AISL grant must assume full cost for travel and accommodations. If you do not have project funds for your participation in the meeting, please contact your Program Officer.

Where to Stay
A discounted hotel rate is available to registered attendees at the meeting location (Hilton Arlington National Landing). REVISE has negotiated a block of rooms for $169 per night (below required per diem). Other hotels are available outside the Hilton but rooms have not been reserved. All registrants are responsible for paying for and reserving their hotel room. Hotel block information is available in the email that registrants received after they completed their registration form.
Getting to Arlington, Virginia
Travel by train:

Amtrak (Union Station, Washington, DC, approximately 6 miles to hotel via Metro or car)

Virginia Rail Express (Crystal City Station, approximately 1 mile to hotel )
Travel by air:
There are three airports that you can fly into.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) - approximately 2 miles to the hotel

We recommend flying into DCA as it is closest to the Hilton.

There are limited cities that have direct flights to DCA. This is due to relatively short runaways and federal legislation.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) - approximately 30 miles to the hotel

We recommend this airport for those looking for more direct flights to the area.

Dulles is now connected to the Metro rail service.
