Two Open Program Director Positions at the National Science Foundation
On Thursday, February 28, the National Science Foundation (NSF) announced two open positions within the Directorate for Education and Human Resources’ (EHR) Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings (DRL). Both positions are located at NSF’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA. The deadline to apply is Thursday, March 21.

- Science Education Administrator (#DRL-2019-0004). A permanent position working primarily in the Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program. AISL supports innovative research, evaluation, and practice across informal learning settings in any age group. This includes the development of theory, methods, measurement, innovation, and capacity building in informal STEM learning environments. The incumbent will be expected to provide leadership to the AISL team in all aspects of the work. Learn more.
- Science Education Administrator (#DRL-2019-0005). A temporary position working primarily in pre-K–12 teaching and learning. DRL promotes innovative research, development and evaluation of learning and teaching across all STEM disciplines in formal and informal settings. DRL is seeking candidates with expertise in research on STEM teaching and learning at the pre-K -12 level in mathematics; engineering; cyberlearning; science (all fields supported by NSF); and the learning sciences, cognitive science and neuroscience, as applied to STEM teaching and learning.
