Submit your project to the 2019 NSF STEM for All Video Showcase

The NSF STEM for All Video Showcase is an annual week-long event, that features more than 200 videos highlighting federally-funded projects aimed at improving science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and computer science (CS) education. This year, an anticipated 25,000 visitors from over 150 countries will participate.

Principal Investigators, practitioners, administrators, researchers, policy makers, industry and the public at large are able to view the videos, post to the facilitated discussions, and vote for the ones that are most effective in conveying the creative work being done.

Interested in submitting a video?

You must first register to present a video, starting January 15 through mid-February. Registration will close after the first 250 registrants. Grantees of the National Science Foundation (NSF), U.S. Department of Education, NASA, USAID, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), USDA, etc. are all invited to submit.

This year's theme is "Innovations in STEM Education," and videos should address at least one of the following:

Strategies to broaden participation & increase access for all
Research informing STEM and CS teaching and learning
Challenges and strategies in the implementation of STEM + CS programs
Measuring impact of innovative programs
Partnerships fostering innovation

Successful videos will describe the need that the project addresses, the intervention, innovation, or research, and the potential impact of the work. Video presentations can cover a wide range of topics including, science, mathematics, computer science, engineering, cyberlearning, citizen science, maker spaces, mentoring, informal learning, professional development, research and evaluation, NGSS and the Common Core. Videos can highlight initiatives for students of all ages (kindergarten through graduate school, as well as adult learners). Final videos are due April 23, 2019.

The 2018 Showcase

Last year, 33 projects from the NSF Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) portfolio participated. Presenters found it to be a worthwhile investment of their time and reported that they learned about related work in the field, made new contacts and collaborations, received valuable feedback, and reached audiences interested in using their resources. Multiple projects were awarded special recognition, including the video below from Miyoko Chu's project "Designing an Online Collaborative System for Research and Learning Using Live Bird Cams" (both "Public Choice" and "Presenter's Choice").

The STEM for All Video Showcase is created and facilitated by TERC and is funded by the National Science Foundation (Award #1642187). This work is done with the participation of six NSF-funded resource centers: the Math and Science Partnership Network (MSPnet), Community for Advancing Discovery Research in Education (CADRE), Center for Innovative Research in Cyberlearning (CIRCL), STEM Learning and Research Center (STELAR), CS for All Teachers, and CAISE.
