Science Learning+ Proposals Due July 10th

The Science Learning+ program, a partnership between NSF and the UK-based Wellcome Trust and ESRC, working in collaboration with other U.S. foundations, aims to explore the impact of informal learning experiences and improve understanding of how informal environments may help widen access to STEM. This program seeks to bring together partners from the U.S. and UK to explore these questions through the lenses of both informal STEM learning research and practice. Proposals for Phase I planning grants are due July 10, 2014.

For more information about Science Learning+ and to find out how to apply from the U.S. side, see the NSF Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) solicitation as well as a related PowerPoint presentation on the NSF site. You can also visit the Science Learning+ Grou.ps page to see the kinds of questions that prospective proposers are exploring; to find partners in the U.S. and UK; and to see the target timelines for the program. Contact Dennis Schatz or Rick Duschl if you have questions about applying through the NSF solicitation.
