New Citizen Science Journal
The Citizen Science Association has launched a new open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by Ubiquity Press. Citizen Science: Theory and Practice focuses on advancing the field of citizen science by providing a venue for citizen science practitioners and researchers to share best practices in conceiving, developing, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining projects that facilitate public participation in scientific endeavors.
The editors are accepting papers in the following categories:
- Research papers (note that the journal will not publish discipline-specific scientific papers; rather, "research" refers to quantitative and qualitative research about the practice of citizen science)
- Review and synthesis papers
- Case studies
- Essays
Other invited articles will include editorials, book reviews, and conference reviews.
The inaugural issue of the journal will be published this summer. To be considered for the issue, papers must be received by March 31, 2015. For more information or to submit a paper, visit the journal's website.
